Silence Speaks

When the two of us,


Were mum as the dolls thus,


Silence seemed to have spoken,


To mend the relationship broken!


 

The whisper of silence,

 

Did not reach our ears thence,


Tranquillity was piercingly screaming,


Like the figure in Van Gog’s painting!


 

Yet obdurate like a child were we,

 

Closer yet afar we seemed to be!
