Hesitant I was,

Like the one facing an interview,

For the first time!

Only to say, “I love you!”

To gift you with,

Has a rose in the hand of mine,

You were in sari,

Looking elegant like a fairy divine!

Yet hesitation seemed to have beaten me utterly,

Alas! I could not say “I love you” vigorously!
