Did what I was Waiting for!

Poe'ten'ry [poems of ten lines] I made a decision long ago,
As a cautious soldier,
Yet time did not want me to succeed,
Though I was my mind’s controller!
With God’s grace,
I was able to achieve,
As the unwavering Buddha,
Since in myself I did ever believe.
I thanked God for the benevolence,
For Him I ever felt enduring reverence.
