21^st February is today,

International Mother Language Day,

We are a proud nation ever,

In 1952 we fought for language, for honour.

The martyrs sacrificed their lives smilingly,

For protecting the Bangla language only,

No nation on earth has done so ever,

That is why swollen with pride we are!

We thank the language martyrs respectfully,

May their souls rest peacefully!
