Reflection

Other Stuff

There’s a little bit of emptiness that seems to creep into the corners on certain days of the year.

A strange kind of melancholy feeling always seems to find its way into here.

Maybe I don’t have all the answers.

But at least I have the guts to ask questions.

And I might be willing to slightly alter my path

if you’d be willing to offer any suggestions.

I’m counting snowflakes as they fall.

I’m staring blankly at the wall.

I’m drowning on dry land.

And I’m freezing to death in a light and gentle breeze.

I’m trying to find a place where I belong.

I’m looking for a bridge to fill my song.

I’m waiting for a day to come when my reflection shines

in rocks and stars and trees.

There’s a lot of unnecessary hurt in the world that we need to dissolve and let come undone.

Don’t let divisions get between us.  Tear down all the walls.  Let’s all live as one.

Maybe we need a little patience.

Maybe worry and fear can just be released.

Maybe a day will come when love really is alive and hatred and prejudice all are deceased.

When my reflection shines with ease.
