The way you half smiled when you looked at me.

I know that you love me.

But yet you won’t say it.

I don’t know yet.

If it is for your protection or mine.

I don’t know yet.

Whose feelings you are trying to spare.

I don’t know yet.

Who you are trying to fool.

I don’t know yet.

What the stoic act was about.

I don’t know yet.

But I hope to find out.
