When I return from my side of the world

Gone for a lifetime, it makes me wonder

Tell him what he meant to me

show him what its like to land



I told you I loved you

Right before I hid the lies

In an overrated atmosphere

Of souls afraid to fly



Stormy seas the salt burns deep

When it comes from within this eye

Dreaming of that first dance

It rains as I smile into reality



Look deep within my eyes

Can you take away this pain

Can you find the love you never had

for me



Hold tight to this dreamers hand

Let me love you one more day

Even though we're miles apart

your here



And when the light fades from this gaze

Will you lie to make my day

Can you break this heart gently

or will you say goodbye again



Stop stealing from those good-byes

Did you get the chance to make amends

To a heart tangled up in your breath

I slowly back away; your gone
