Always in my heart

It’s a sunny day in Northport, Washington and Jack is sitting in the dress store. Jane, his fiancé is trying on dresses on the fitting room. They have been together for 6 years. They met in High school while they were in History class together. They haven’t planned the wedding, but Jane is so excited and she decided to look for her perfect dress. Jack has not slept well, so he tells Jane that he is going to home in a taxi. He takes a Taxi in Center Avenue and gives the directions to the driver and falls asleep in the car. Jack wakes up with the shout of the driver and the next thing that he sees is a big trailer in front of them.

Jane receives a call from an unknown number on her cellphone and after hearing that Jack just had an accident and he is unconscious, she starts to tremble and cry in front of everyone in the store. A girl that is in the store drives Jane to the hospital to see Jack. Days pass by and Jack is not able to wake up. After some medical studies, the doctor declares Jack in a vegetative state. After 1 week, the doctor says that they should considerate to disconnect Jack because the results are not favorable. While Jack’s family is looking for some documents, they find out that he is an organ donor, so they decide to donate his organs. Jane has been with Jack since the accident, she knows that maybe there’s nothing that she can do, but she just wants to be beside his lover.

It’s a sunny day in Northport, Washington and Rick is sitting in the waiting room at the Hospital. Rick was diagnosed with arrhythmia 2 years ago. The doctor gave him medicine to control his disease and everything was good. Until one night, Rick’s heart started beating very fast, so he called his doctor to make an appointment and check if everything was good. Finally, the doctor checks Rick and make some studies.

A week later, Rick arrives to the Hospital and the doctor says: “You need a heart transplant as soon as possible”. They need to find a donor for Rick. While they are talking, a woman in the next room comes out crying, and the only thing he can hear is “Calm down Jane”. He feels so bad for the woman and he wanted to comfort her even if it is a stranger because he also needs a hug in this moments. However he decides to take a break and go to the coffee shop across the street.

At the line of the coffee shop, Rick sees the woman again. She is still crying but quietly. He gets his order at the same time as the girl, and he decides to talk to her. “Hey, I know this is non of my business but… I saw you at the Hospital crying. Are you okay?” Said Rick. And the girl responded “Oh yeah, sorry for that I couldn’t stop it. And yes I’m okay, thanks for asking”. After those words Rick took his order and walked towards the door and said, “Well, hope you feel better. By the way, I'm Rick”. And Jane just shouts, “I’m Jane, have a great day”. After that Jane just saw how Rick was walking down the street and decided to reach for Rick as she shouted “Hey Rick, sorry but can we talk?” Rick turn back to her and said “Of course no problem”. They ate together at the coffee shop and became kind of friends, the girl told him what was going on and Rick did the same. They exchanged numbers and continued their evening.

One week exactly later Jane calls Rick and says to him that his fiancé is going to be disconnected and that it would be an honor to give his heart to such a great guy as him. Rick just starts crying and tells her how thankful he is.

Two days later it’s a sunny day in Northport, Washington and the transplant is done successfully. Rick goes to Jack’s funeral and thanks all his family. As days goes by he starts dreaming with Jane but he doesn’t know why. After a week he starts daydreaming with her, he has memories with her and he starts thinking that maybe he could be in love with her. And he thinks, “Maybe this heart will always belong to her”
