   I stand on the edge

   Looking out at the darkness

   The end would come quick

   Perhaps the pain would leave me too



   I stand on the edge

   The darkness calls to me

   Just one more step

   It would all be over then



   I stand on the edge

   Time seems to stand still

   I think of all that has brought me here

   One step and its finished



   I stand on the edge

   Is this what I want

   To never know what might have been

   To have it all gone in a flash



   I stand on the edge

   I turn and look behind me

   The light feels warm on my face

   A reminder of how it could have been

   The light calls to me

   Memories of good times past

   Hopefulness of better times to come



   I stand on the edge

   Can I make a change

   Have the bad turn to good

   which way do I turn



   I stand on the edge

   I'm torn between the darkness and the light

   A step off to the darkness

   Or do I struggle to the light



   I stand on the edge

   I need to make a choice

   One little step off

   Or turn and take a chance



   I stand on the edge

   I dont know what to do

   The confusion is too much

   I drop to my knees and cry
