We see people
Suffering
On the street

I cannot
Figure out
Why we seem
So content
Pretending
Like we don't
Even see them
Instead of
Helping them out
Its not like
They are really
Asking for much
A dollar here
And there
Or maybe a sandwhich
If you have it
Anything
Other than
Being treated
Like they aren't
Even there
If you ask me
A country
Should be
Graded on
Not power
But how it treats
Its poorest people
And we may be
The land of the free
But lets face it people
Even we aren't
Doing as great
As we could be
When it comes
To the homeless
And the hungry
