We are all connected
By a simple need
Not power
Fancy things
Or anything else
That comes
From greed
But one very
Simple yet
Very powerful need
That need is love
Money may get you
A great many things
But it can't get you
Love at least
Not real love
And we need love
To make us whole
And for there
To be love
There must
First be
Acceptance
Of what makes
Us all different
And respect
For each each other
And those differences
We must have those things
For the sake of humanity
And if we ever want
A chance of seeing
The very changes
The world has
Been desperately needing
