When will We Embrace (True Love's Rarity)

We are who we are
We love who we love
Of this battle
I have had enough
The rarity
Of true love
I am sorry
But is overshadowing
The so called sanctity
Of what you think
Marriage should be
True love should be free
And cherished by you and me
And any time love
Is snuffed by bigotry
It should be seen
As nothing short
Of a travesty
Against what
Is supposed to be
The land of the free
The land that stands for everybody
But that turns out
Isn't so true
So many
Will stand for the rights
Of the free
But not if those free are gay
And I am sorry
It just makes no sense to me
To willfully live that way
