Ever notice how screwed
Our world really is
We have to hide to love
But out in the open
Exists so much violence
It's like we are more
Ashamed of love
Than the violence
We are exposed to everyday
A couple that is gay
Sparks an outcry
But more violence in the world
We hardly bat an eye
Tell me folks
How can this be right
Will we bat an eye
For the children
On the streets who will die
Of starvation tonight
Or will we even care
Do we even notice
Them being there
There is seriously
Something majorly '
Wrong with a world
That cares more about who we love
Than about the people
Who are gone
Because of violence
We do nothing about
But shake our head at
Then leave it at that
