Power to those
Who understand
What it is to be free
Freedom can never happen
If you restrict the basic rights
Of you and me
We should all have the right
To be and celebrate
Who we are
How is it that we have come so far
But have fallen so short
Of celebrating who we really are
Just because some are not what
Others would consider normal
It doesn’t mean
They deserve to be less free
Than you and me
They are unique in their own way
And for that we should appreciate
And learn to tolerate
Instead of bombard them
With nothing but hate
Because can’t you see
That they are unique
Just like you and me
