Looking around

At a world

In which

Society seems

To live 

More asleep

Than awake

I hope and pray

That soon someday

They will awake

And the truth

They will see

When it comes

To the damage

They are causing

With the lives

They are barely

Even truly

Living

While time

They are abusing

And others

They are using

While through their 

Very fingers

Their humanity

Is slipping 
And towards
A dead end
For us all
They are racing
While living to blind

And too asleep
To even see it coming
