There is a
Give and take

To the world
But not the way
You think
It should be
That we give as much
As we do take

But no my friends

I fear it is not
At all
That way
There is
Too much taking
With so little giving
And yet somehow
We are still wondering

Why society

Always seems

To be falling
When will we
Get it

When will we see
All the taking

All the greed

And all the bitching
About how much
More we need

Has made society
Nothing
But stubborn
And weak
We need to take
A step back
And be grateful for
What it is
That we do have

And realize that
Excess
Doesn't always
Equal happiness
