Roses

At last that damn dam is broken

And the river flowing from my heart

Can find its way back to the ocean

Uniting like this shared emotion

Continuing pacific and serene

At last my heart is filled

With the mirrors reflecting the mirrors

All filled with your shining face

Creating an infinite space

For our love to graze and to grow

At last the tears are extinquished

By the fire I know burns within

And the sparks that fly from the flame

Continue to crackle your name

And warm my night and bring my day

At last the roses are growing

In the garden we planted last year

With seeds ripened many months ago

Patiently waiting for your word to grow

And now everything is so delicately real
