Two years
Two years ago on a Friday night you left us to go home to be with Jesus.
We aren't in the same house.
Several things are different.
Everything in me wants to go to the fundraiser tomorrow like we did as a family when you were here.
I promised our mentor that I would take my daughter, your niece, so she could eat lunch with her friends.
It is going to take a lot of strength to go down there on tomorrow, even to walk into church on Sunday because that is the actual date you left May 3rd.
I can only talk to certain people because others tell me I'm having a pity party, and should be over it by now.
When someone that is part of your life for over 50 years, that knew every secret, was your first friend and confidant and is gone, helped you raise your daughter the first 12 years.
Gone. It's very surreal. I still rarely drink tea. Because when I drink tea it makes me want to cry.
Two years. I miss you. I love you my dear sister. I'm sure you're rejoicing around the throne.
