tulips

The sun warms their innocent faces,

as they run through the damp grass.

The winter is soon to begin.

And the warm summer days are passed.

They stumble upon the last of the flowers.

Red tulips opening their faces to the sun,

The brillance of color gives them hope,

For the days yet to come.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I made this for class in 7th grade I think. We looked at a picture of red tulips and had to write a poem about it.
