My Grandfather's Harmonica

I haven’t heard anything like it, and yet I remember it every time I hear music; of coures I mean the music my grandfather used to play with his harmonica. I loved to hear him play his harmonica. Lucky for me he was my neighbor. My grandfather always had this harmonica, made of silver and the details made of gold, of course I was very young maybe I overestimate its value. But to my grandpa it was the same if it was made of gold or plastic. He had many harmonicas, I guess he bought one every time he had the chance. He had al kinds of harmonicas; he had long harmonicas, small harmonicas and harmonicas of all kind of colors. He even had a necklace with a small shaped harmonica, some people have crosses mi grandfather had a small harmonica. But without a doubted, I know the silver and gold one was his favorite. After a long day of school I always went to their house, he always got mad with me for running around the house with his dog. And my grandma always backed me up, and told him to play a song so that I and the dog would calm down. And he suddenly was happy again, he took out his harmonica and played a song. Not sure if he was actually playing a song or just free styling but he was always grate. The dog and I just sat there and heard him play. If he wanted he could put me to sleep with his music. He always had a harmonica, more often than not, he had his favorite one. No matter where you went; church, a party or one of my uncles house he always had a harmonica. I can still remember when he became 80 years old we had a big party for him and in one point he started playing his harmonica. All the family stood around him hearing him play. He also had this effect in animals, my grandfather always had unusual animals in the house, from rabbits to goats, and I can still remember how some time I entered his house just to hear him playing and the dog alongside the ducks (or any other animal he had brought that week) would just sit and listen at how he was played. Ones I asked my mother why a harmonica, she told me that when he was young he couldn’t afford expensive instruments so he learned how to play the harmonica. And till the day of his death he played his harmonica. I always remember him when I hear a song that I like, so in a way he will live long after his death.
