The Plunge

Poems

Here I sit,greatly disturbed

Playing back in my head, all the words...

that left my soul and mind crippled

Lost in my own story...

Skin of Ivory,Soul of Ebony

A tarnished and frayed integridy

I have let failure consume me

My Crucifix gone, there is nothing left for me to hold on...

I look from my plateu

To the valley of darkness far below

And say "Today is the day, six feet is not so far down"

Running start,over the edge

I left behind my freedom on the ledge

And fell from my perch into the black Earth

Life has nothing left for me

Surrounded by darkness, I hymn the creed...

Author's Notes/Comments:

I was real depressed when this piece was written,I felt as if I was in a hole and it was better to just accept it then to keep fighting
