I walk through tears of salt and sand
Now in the twilight of my life
With tears that threaten as I speak
A burden for the rest of life
We reap the harvest that we sow
And dreams that fade for lack of hopes.
I am often the house where sorrow lives
As shadows slither in the cracks
How still the ducks upon the lake of glass
Across the flooding rushing tide
When all that's left are broken dreams
So broken now and so forlorn
