As I sit and think
As I remember and recall

Giver of my pride

Words that can never be replaced
Never be taken away
You the person I love
You the person I admire
You the center of my soul
You my passion and fire
Like a fire it spreads
Spreading warmth as it grows
Or destroying that person
For them to never know
Until it’s to late
But you are the answer
To my life’s mistakes
You gave me the answer
To things
I thought I would never know
You gave me a gift
That doesn’t often show
As I try to say something
That can’t be put into words
But if you listen
Unspoken words are clear
What was never said
Soon you will hear
As they appear with time
As they explain how I feel
And how glad

Through the worst and best of times
Thorough thunder clouds and rain
You are the sun
That dried up my pain
Without using words
Without being told

Is all I need to know

An inner peace
