Once I wanted to surrender
But I’ll never give up
No matter what the problem
Or how bad I feel stuck
In a situation good or bad
If I give in
I’ll be giving away
What I have
No one can stop me
If I continue to strive
Believe in myself
Even if I cry
I will not be defeated
I have come to far
To let things discourage me
I am not who you are
Or what you want me to be
I live my life as I want to
Because my life is me
As I look at what was done
And who it can be overcomed
Or leave it as it be
The future I cannot see
To give up I can’t
Because there will be
A second chance
To do what is right
Life isn’t easy
Often misguided by sight
The things that you see
Only to find truth
If I set myself free
Understanding
That life isn’t always
What you expect it to be
