You Can't See Me

What makes you think

By looking at me

You can see who I am

You think by listening to my words

That you’ll understand

You judge me by my actions

And the way that I speak

If that’s what you’re looking at

You can’t see me

You can’t feel what I feel

When I’m alone

You can’t see

What I’ve seen

You can’t hear

What I’ve heard

You can’t react

To the actions and decisions

I’ve made

You can’t feel when

I’m alone or afraid

You can’t look at my appearance

And know what’s within

If I let you inside

You wouldn’t know where to begin

So don’t pass judgment

And think you know me

Because I am a door

That is locked

And you do not

Have the key
