The Rag Doll and The Crab

A crab’s old shell

Left empty and cold

Like the rag doll

On the side of the road

While the crab moves on

To find a better home

The rag doll is forgotten

On that street, all alone

Creatures take over the old carapace

The protective shield that you had once shared

The rag doll cannot move so fast

It was taken by surprise, completely unaware

The crab finds a new den

A place it has long yearned

The rag doll is stuck rotting on the sidewalk

Waiting for the crab’s return
