The queen

Folder:
English poems

She’s the queen, scepter and throne’s new owner

Ruler of the new world foreseen

Crowned to reason and reign, never will err

She may not have a true king beside her

But alone she’ll decide with keen

She’s the queen, scepter and throne’s new owner

She may not have a knight to protect her

But she’ll learn how to fight with mien

Crowned to reason and reign, never will err

From the old queen she learned to use power

In turbulence think with serene

She’s the queen, scepter and throne’s new owner

To her ilk she swore to be defender

To be protector of the scene

Crowned to reason and reign, never will err

Now alone she may stand at the center

Waits not for any she can lean

She’s the queen, scepter and throne’s new owner

Crowned to reason and reign, never will err
