A rocket of light
Soars through the air,
cutting through the blanket of darkness
That covers the atmosphere
An outburst of gold
Fills up the night
What was once a streaking star
Is now a burst of light
As quickly as it came
It died just ast fast;
And the remaining smoke
Gives memories of the past.
