SPRING FLOWERS

Folder:
NATURE

Bright goblet dancing molten gold,
charming essence of the Spring.
sweet daffodil whose countless fold
provides fit pageant for a king.

Finely robed in ice-white gown,
green ribbon round a scalloped hem,
porcelain -fine, the dainty crown
of snowdrop, dripping from the stem.

Pert face that views with cheeky grin
this springtime, seasonal display,
velvet robed from toe to chin,
bright pansy, multi-hued and gay.

Small violet under forest lush
of leaves and stalks, peaks shyly out.
Rich royal shade, you gently flush,
on rambling vines roaming about.

Pale blossom, prophet of the fruits,
dressing trees in soft delight,
fairy flower, your fragile suits
delight in pastel pinks and white.
