THE EGO WARDEN







A ladle is stirred in a large vat of Mule soup

In a Mexican prison.  At a Pima county jail

In Arizona, a jailbird receives 20,000 volts.



Death sentences are meted out with Presidential

Pardons for those with political connections; canned

Meat is doled out for the caned and canned prisoners.



The punishment more than fits the crime and many

Red Sonyas are there to pay for your sins; the ego

Is a terrible warden that exacts much punishment.



No soul is really forgotten; Edmund Dantes is lashed

Every a year on his birthday to remind him why he was

Incarcerated in the Chateau D’if. Cruel are the unforgiving.



Hoover frames an innocent man so that he can start the

Witness protection program for the real killers.  The money

Changers are never really purged from the house of God.



Lambs of God who have been loved for centuries are

Killed in one night as we go on singing.  Let us be

Grateful for now that our throats are not open to the knife.



“Peter! Peter!  Could you not stay awake with me for one

hour?”  Even faithful defenders succumb to so many ego

blankets that hide their eyes from the light of eternal life.
