CAPTAIN KIRK SPLITS INFINITIVES





Captain Kirk split infinitives and boldly

Went where no one had gone before; he

He parked the Enterprise and stepped into

A space dinghy with a Ferrenghi ,-what’s more?



He braved trouble with tribbles and other exotic

Aliens, one looked like Ricardo Montelban.

Kirk exiled him on some godforsaken moon

And that episode was the Revenge of Khan.



Kirk could be a jerk with a phaser and forget

To put the weapon setting just to only stun;

Adding another split infinitive to the Kirk saga

As well as brandishing another idiotic pun.



To boldly go is apropos but to silently sit

And do nothing is a lazy spilt infinitive.

Try to aptly do the logical thing like Spock

And mind meld to be a lot more definitive.
