SOON TO COME

SOON TO COME

The soon to come rain of summer showers as an expectancy

Of a water droplet hanging from an old rusty spigot; the soon

To come rain clouds gathering, all cobalt and ready for release.

And of other annunciations soon to come; the opening into day

All the contesting promises of life seeking fulfillment; insipient

As they are as is the quizzical wondering look of every child.

The soon to come fervor of all unfolding powers finding its own

Contours of sudden precipitation, coursing through the veins of

All existence; insipient at first but then an all encompassing onrush.

The soon to come predications of oracular prophets signaling the

Death knells of a passing age and heralding the coming of a new

One.  Our lives pass in awaited transformation soon to come

Our age builds enormous reservoirs of power extracting from our

Lives an inchoate formless reckoning soon to come.  We all pass

Into the eternal from which these implicit powers belong to.

This powerful current of life is an eternal river of ever new and

Anticipated wonder; we always remain in front with outstretched

Arms to grasp what constitutes becoming and soon to come.
