BEYOND  THE THRESHOLD





I walk up to you and stand at your threshold:

Threshold, what is it like to be near you but

Threshold is also and forever a thing of two.



Threshold is a betweeness yet a separation;

Yes, we want to know what is beyond that;

We yearn for a release of our isolated aloneness.



It is always the threshold for us even in birth and

Death; we are always meeting something that is

Just precipitously beyond us at some threshold.



Threshold: what does it mean to be two to be

Forever separate but to be just at the juncture

Of losing that.  This is why sex is a mini-death.



In the mini-death of sex the threshold is breeched

And the concerns of separation are no longer an

Issue.  What is tantamount is beyond the threshold.
