Just as my heart was mended

It was time for it to break

Just when I thought I was whole

Another piece you did take

Just as I had forgotten him

You were brought into my life

And now as I have to leave you

I've stabed my heart with the old knife

It was nothing that you did

You were honest, kind, it's true

You didn't know you'd take my heart

But then again, no one knew

So now I must say my goodbyes

And go bravely to a new place

Whenever I think of you

Know I'll have a smile on my face
