I’ve got nowhere left to turn, not a single place to hide,

since this lying cheating heart, threw your faithful love aside,

so I’ve tossed my worthless soul, up on fates uncertain shores,

and I write these words in tears......unfaithfully yours.

I will not forget your face, not forget your warm embrace

nor the smile that turned this worn heart inside out,

not the fragrance of your skin, or the love I felt within,

when I promised you my soul.....without a doubt.

For a moments fleeting bliss, our enchanted lives were torn,

devastated, past repair, those most solemn vows I’d sworn,

now a lifetime building trust, is torn in pieces, washed away,

left to flounder on the rocks, now our life’s in disarray.....

I can still recall the look that you wore upon your face,

of disappointment, disbelief, one of absolute disgrace,

and I still recall the teardrops that filled those trusting eyes,

when recalling empty promises, recalling half-baked lies.
