all she wanted

Folder:
Dedications

she wanted nothing but

control

the only way she knew how

it was the only thing

she had a

handle on

eat at the dinner table

retire to her room

stuffing the hidden

chocolate bars

cookies

cakes

down her mouth

only to

retrieve it seconds later

she reveled in her beauty

what was beautiful to her

90 pounds and

counting

down to her demise

it didn't matter to her

the snickers

the finger pointing

the constant whispers in her ear

about how skinny she was

becoming

it was something of her own

but

nobody could understand

nobody could have predicted

the

disintegrating esophagus

hole in her stomach

rotting teeth

fainting in the hallways

                          all she wanted was control

                           but she couldn't control

                                   her fate
