Published I'm lost in the dark, stumbling without a light.
I love you to the moon
But don't know what you want.
It feels like I'm being swept away,
And watching you fade a little more everyday.
But I'm so torn inside.
Wanting to trust you with my heart
Still, trying to guard it
But fear you'll break it,
And I'll end up shattered once again.
I don't know if I can fix it,
Life isn't a fairy tale,
You're not a knight in armor,
And I'm not a princess in a tower.
There's no kings horses,
And there's no kings men.
They're not going to come,
Put me back together again.
It's just me,
Standing in front of you.
Praying that you can be my sun,
And I can be your moon.
Together we can shine the light
Into our darkness and
Light a path where we can walk beside each other,
And fully live,
This thing they call life.
