You’re Resilient! 

You’re brave! 

You’re so strong!

These things I hear. 

They aren’t true. 

The truth is, 

I broke, 

Shattered in a million pieces. 

I lost my light, 

I became a shadow, 

Of a girl I once knew. 

I died a million deaths, 

And my soul bears scars you’ll never see. 

In the light of day,  

You see a smile, 

You hear “I’m fine”. 

But at night…

I cry… 

I mourn the loss of who I once was. 

I wonder if I will ever look in the mirror 

And see her again. 

I wonder if I will ever be worthy… 

To just love myself again.
