Growing up…from school and text books as he learned more and more 

he understood scientifically what our body parts were created for.

But once he fell in love…his views changed…each day a little more and more

and he came to truly understand what our body parts were created for.

When their eyes met from across the room…she was standing by the door 

he knew in that moment…what his eyes were created for.

When he first heard her voice…and he felt his heart soar

he knew in that moment…what his ears were created for.

The first time they held hands as they walked along the shore

he knew in that moment…what his hands were created for.

The first time they hugged one another……it was as if he’d never hugged before

he knew in that moment…what his arms were created for.

And the first time they kissed…which left him wanting more

he knew in that moment…what his lips were created for.

Yes, from the moment he met her…his old textbooks seemed outdated..

Because in his heart he knew to love…and to be loved

is why we were created.
