WISDOM

Wisdom comes with age we've been told

By some sage who never grew old.

Age brings us wisdom I know,

But what good does this bestow?

Because when you're old you get no respect.

The advice you give the young just reject.

The most important thing I have learned

Is someday the tables will be turned.

When the young are old and wisdom they gain

They will be enlightened that age brings us pain

And gives the wisdom that bears

The knowledge that nobody cares.
