days like these

cold and dreary,
what's the theory?
days like these,
are rather beery.

drear and cold,
and not so bold,
to step outside,
or win some gold,
a pleasant ride.

with each new step,
a little hep;
some zest for me,
so now it's best,
to wear a vest
and drink some tea.

Author's Notes/Comments:

a poem bordering between sense and nonsense - we are big on nonsense in the UK with many poets writing in this genre over the last 300 years.
