the times we live in

Days are lived in colour now
Before they were quite dull;
And just quite why this was or how,
Has never caused a lull.

I think the times we live in now
Are harder on the brain;
We have free time and yet a row
To spend it, will remain.

Constructive patterns that we make
In time or ink or space;
But who indeed can spot the fake
And make a better case?

So spending time is precious now,
We really mustn't waste;
The time that's left so take a vow
To run as we have raced.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I like fun (or funny) poems. But sometimes I do have something real to convey... it's not always easy to combine the serious meaning with an amusing twist.
