I sit in a room - foom!

I’m sitting in a room,

Things go foom!

It starts off rather quiet,

It starts off cold and empty,

But soon I find I’ve plenty!

As things go boom!

So, I’m sitting in this room,

Waiting for a tune,

Equating with the moon…

Rise at half past Noon,

As things go foom!

Or bang, crash, wallop!

O did I eat a scallop?

As things go crash!

Now that’s rather rash,

Do you pay in cash?

As things go wallop!

Like a mischievous bee,

Producing Jam not honey,

Coz he wasn’t paid in money.

It’s really rather funny

How the subject turns to money.

Greenbacks, Dollars, Yen,

I can remember way back when,

The sovereign coin was golden

In those days of olden.

When markets went crash!

Now that was rather rash.

And may ne’er have taken place,

And saved a lot of face,

Had we stayed within the room,

And faced the doom and gloom.

By sitting in the dark,

Or walking in the park,

Or running up the lane,

Or flying in a plane.

As things go foom!

(I’m staying in my room!)
