More Than A Shiver

When subtle meets silence

And silence means violence

The gray sky means that today it's going to rain

And when forever means never

And never means a new endeavor

The cold rain means that tonight we'll sleep alone

I guess we're home

So tonight, while you're sleeping

I'm mixing up feelings

In a steady flow

Tonight, you'll know

That I'm still here till whenever

As for quiting, I'll never

Even if it goes up in smoke

Because tonight, I know

That it means more than a shiver

And the rising of the river

Will not take over me

I will not cease to be

When staying strong

Means holding on

And letting go

Means breathing slow

I'm down the river with the flow

Inside a boat, upstream I'll row

A new direction I'll take solo

But tonight you will know

That I refuse to simply just let go

Author's Notes/Comments:

I sort of lost the flow of the song...but I liked where I was heading...so I thought I would publish it anyway even though it's not what I wanted.  Enjoy!
