Once is Never Enough

I said it once

But once is never enough

That is when I gave up

And said I've had enough - (of all your)

Bullshit games

All you hard-earned flames

I once was a spark

But I guess that's just never enough

I've had too much time to think about driving around town

Turning the music down, up was never too loud

That's when I decided to get lost in the crowd

To forget being around, or letting you ever see my frown

I hate the way -  this ended

It's just began and then it shifted

From friendship to flame

And back to exactly nothing again

That's when you told me this was over

And I am not enough

So we gave up

I guess truth tends to hurt too much

We had little time to think about the way it's going down

Turning the music up, silent was always too loud

That's when I decided to get lost in the crowd

To forget being around(you), or letting you ever see my face

I hate the way -  this ended

It's just began and then it shifted

From friendship to flame

And back to exactly nothing again

That's when you told me this was over

And I am not enough

So we gave up

I guess truth tends to hurt too much

I said it once

But once is never enough

That is when I gave up

And said I've had enough -  (of all your)

Bullshit games

All you hard-earned flames

I once was a spark

But I guess that's just never enough

Author's Notes/Comments:

This one is written about one particular person (no names), she tends to shy away all the time...or never actually try in the first place...once is never enough to get to know someone...
