End of the World

The Confounding Continued

And so it is today

That we find it so difficult to speak

With our brothers and sisters

And in one hundred years

It will be the same

With blood dripping from rooftops

Blood forever on our minds

And blood deadening our black hearts

And in five hundred years

It will be the same

with war around us

with fighting and brawling

and the battlefields burned with rancor.

And in one thousand years

it will be the same

the skies will darken

the light will dim

and earth will chill.

And until the end of time

It will be the same

there will be no trust

there will be no brotherhood

now that the council has dissappeared.

That is the story of the universe

That is the story of the earth

That is the story of animals and humans

this is how the story meets its end

because of the egoism and the greed

the heaven we have lost
