From the moment we are born
We are drawn to form a union with others
Unions meet our needs
Our needs to connect, to love, to belong
In a perfect union, we find strength that is outside ourselves
But that strength can't be known until it is tested
This is why relationships often come and go
The union between two people sometimes isn't strong enough
Unions can crumble under the misfortunes of life
If you are lucky enough to find a true union
There is nothing it can't withstand
