The Bathroom

I walk by my mom

Like nothing is wrong.

The walk to the bathroom

Has never seemed so long.

Once in the bathroom

I sit against the wall.

Here I can let all my tears fall.

Again he has come and

Broken my heart.

I sit here and cry

As my world falls apart.

Tears begin running

Down my face.

Soon you will find someone

To take my place.

I leave the bathroom

And get over my sorrow.

Suddenly I dread tomorrow.

I lay on my bed.

I wish I was dead.

I’m sick of tears gathering in my eyes.

I’m sick of all the internal lies.

The tears begin to burn my face,

and I remember:

Soon you’ll find someone to take my place.
