Brown Water Millions

NINE POEMS

A bitter gem

Ravenous in its delights

Has conquered all the northern lights

Consumes a glimmer with its surface

glitter in the depths and gone

the stars shine now un-shrouded

shivering in cold night

when they are dissapeared,

all light crawled across this surface

and eaten up and gone

like shells on a beach we will find

that things coveted, high priced as such

can't possibly give back

what in their fractured faces they collect

too much is drained into the depths

through ephemeral umbilicals.

a soul could find itself consumed

if it had reflection

alas, all is safe until that day
