Drowning to Life

Floating along this huge river

Watching life pass me by slowly

Nothing new but the old to be seen

Life has just been the same routine

Eighteen months floating on the river

You came along and pushed me under

Think I would of been mad, but no

That was the only place to go

This water may be cold and harsh

The reeds reaching up to hold me down

But that doesn't matter at all to me

New adventures I am going to see

There is no other feeling like drowning

Letting the pressure crush my bones

Holding my breath until I die

The world slows down to let me fly

My eyes are now open again

Time to live a life I've never lived

Hold my hand as I take the plunge

In you I trust and take the lunge

Eighteen months floating on the river

You came along and pushed me under

Think I would of been mad, but no

This was the only place to go
